Annual Sasquatch Festival Art Contest

The city of Harrisburg hosts the Annual Sasquatch Festival the first weekend of October every year. Artsco joined the celebration in offering a nature and Sasquatch themed art show and contest. The art is featured at the Harrisburg City Hall City Council Room.

We start accepting submissions in late July. Judging is the day before the festival. Closing reception & pick-up happens in December. Multiple category prizes.

Join the 2026 Sasquatch Festival ART CONTEST!!!!  

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 28TH!!!!!

We are accepting all art mediums. Photography, painting, sculpture, etc. We would like to see things that are themed around nature/The Shawnee National Forest. Sasquatch DOES NOT have to be in the work….but if he was you would submit to the Sasquatch Art Category.

All of the art will be on display at the Harrisburg City Hall building in the City Council Room.  This room will be open on the day of the Sasquatch Festival (October 3rd) for viewing and winners will be announced on stage at 2pm.  Then we will have a closing/pick up reception on December 5th.

We have prizes for 4 categories:

Photography - $350

Traditional Art - $350

Squatch Art (art with Sasquatch in it) - $350

Best of Show - $500

Each winner will also receive a “squatchie” trophy

Art will be scored by the ARTSCO Board members and then category sponsors will choose the winner from the top 3 scorers in each category.

Submit images of your art to us by filling out this form.  $10 per submission with a limit of 2 submissions. 

SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 28th. We will notify those who’s art is accepted in to the show by SEPTEMBER 11th. Art will need to be delivered in person NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 18TH. We will coordinate art drop off's with each person. 

The show will run October 1st through December 5th
